Unprecedented rates of urban change in Asia and Africa raise many questions about the urbanization of the global South, global processes, and policy agendas. A featured theme of the AAG Annual Meeting, being held April 9-13, 2013, will provide a forum to engage those questions and form a better understanding of those changes. This theme is one of several featured themes to help focus discussion and provide an engaging structure to the conference.
