The meeting will bring together the project and working group members of the three GEWEX Panels [GEWEX Radiation Panel (GRP), GEWEX Modelling and Prediction Panel (GMPP), Coordinated Energy and Water Cycle Observations Project (CEOP)] to develop and discuss a plan for GEWEX science post 2013.

Postdoctoral research position at Woods Hole Research Center, Falmouth, MA
The Woods Hole Research Center seeks a postdoctoral researcher to participate in a tropical forest research project related to mapping forest cover changes and estimating carbon stock changes. The successful candidate will work closely with the principle investigator and collaborators on applying remote sensing image analysis techniques. This position offers research and training opportunities in an advanced remote sensing and GIS environment, with related travel to tropical forest countries for fieldwork and remote sensing capacity building.

Moran, both an IU Bloomington Distinguished Professor and the James H. Rudy Professor of Anthropology, is an internationally recognized ecological and environmental anthropologist whose research has focused on aspects of the human dimensions of environmental change. Congratulations Emilio Moran!
