The European Space Agency (ESA) is organizing the third Earth Observation Open Science community consultation at ESRIN (Frascati, Italy) on 25-28 September 2017to explore the new challenges and opportunities for EO research created by the rapid advances in digital technologies (http://eoopenscience.esa.int/). 

These include open tools and software, data-intensive science, virtual research environment, citizen science, advanced visualization, and e- education of the new generation of Data scientists.
