Towards accelerating 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda - 15min questionnaire to describe the diversity of approaches to document and apply LCLU

The classification of Land Cover and Land Use (LCLU) is critical for addressing many of the UN Sustainability Goals. LCLU data standards are critical to support UN Agencies like the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). With the objective to describe the diversity of approaches to document and apply LC and LU and receive guidance by experts involved in mapping Land Cover and Land Use (LCLU), this questionnaire has been prepared to support the ISO TC211 Advisory Group 13 on Land Cover and Land Use.

The USGS is excited to announce that Landsat 9 data is now available for download!
As of February 10, 2022, USGS Landsat 9 Collection 2 Level-1 and Level-2 data are available for download from EarthExplorer, Machine to Machine (M2M), and LandsatLook. Initially, only full-bundle downloads are available. Single band downloads, browse images, and Landsat 9 Collection 2 U.S. Analysis Ready Data will be available within a few days. Commercial cloud data distribution will take 1-3 days to reach full capacity.

ASI's Second Generation COSMO-SkyMed Satellite Successfully Launched

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Cosmo-SkyMed Second Generation FM2 (CSG-2) satellite launched from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Monday evening (Jan. 31) at 6:11 p.m. EST (2311 GMT). The second-generation COSMO-SkyMed (COSMO-SkyMed Seconda Generazione - CSG) is a constellation financed by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) with funds allocated by the Italian Ministry of University and Research alongside the Italian Ministry of Defence.
