The directional, hemispheric, spectral and broadband surface albedo, and the NDVI, derived from bidirectionnal POLDER-3/PARASOL data acquired since April 2005 are available. They cover the whole globe at 6km spatial resolution. The production goes on in near real time : an updated product is generated every 10 days. These Albedos and DVI are currently produced by the HYGEOS company at the request of CNES. They can be downloaded on the POSTEL web site.
This will provide a terrific opportunity to inform and communicate new findings made possible through free data access and the USGS opening of the Landsat archive as well as to keep the community current with upcoming plans for LDCM. More information can be found at the publication website
