NASA’s Dual-Anonymous Peer Review (DAPR) ensures fair and equitable proposal evaluations by keeping the identities of proposers and reviewers anonymous until after the review process. This method aims to reduce implicit bias and has shown improvements in the diversity of awardees, especially increasing the success rates for women and early-career investigators. The review guidelines emphasize anonymizing references to team members, institutions, and past work, while a separate document provides details about team expertise and resources.

Principal Investigators (PIs) must ensure submitting requests for No-Cost Extension (NCE) prior to the end of the project's period of performance (POP). It is crucial to adhere to this rule to prevent NCE requests from being denied. Failure to do so can lead to non-compliance issues, as demonstrated by a recent denial from the NSSC Grants Activities Branch. Since January 2024, the NSSC has started rejecting grantee requests for No-Cost Extensions (NCEs) for a variety of reasons.
